Meet Lynn
Lynn Knutson is the founder and creative force behind Shine Color Salon, a boutique collective rooted in craftsmanship, intention, and modern color work. Her career began within the Aveda Network in 1998, followed by formative years in Chicago, where she developed a deep foundation in advanced hair color techniques.
Driven by a commitment to continual growth, Lynn has studied with leading colorists around the world, refining a perspective that blends technical precision with an intuitive, artistic approach. She later served as a Hair Color Trainer at a prominent Milwaukee salon, where she mentored teams of stylists while maintaining a dedicated clientele.
Over time, Lynn felt called to create a more thoughtful and personalized experience—one that prioritized artistry, autonomy, and a higher level of service. In 2015, she brought that vision to life with the opening of Shine Salon Tosa.
Today, Shine has evolved into a curated collective of independent, highly skilled stylists who share a commitment to elevated, customized work. The space is designed to feel calm, refined, and quietly inspiring—offering clients an environment to unwind, reset, and be cared for with intention.
